The Only Thing We Have to Fear…

The Only Thing We Have to Fear… fear itself. Great words by FDR is times of great turbulence. What he was doing was defining our state of mind.

FEAR – Failure Expected And Received. If there is one thing that holds millions of people back each day from growing as an individual, achieving high levels of success and becoming the best version of themselves, fear is definitely at the top of the list.

High achievers, regardless of occupation, understand that taking risks and massive action is a vital part in getting from where you are to where you want to go. And that goes for in life — and in most certainly in business. Fear of taking risks, fear of being uncomfortable , fear of of failure and yes, even fear of success can and will cause anyone to question their ambitions and prevent them from taking action.

Fear is absolutely normal. Even the best experience fear from time to time. The challenge is to prevent fear from consuming you, paralyzing and immobilizing you in your pursuit of a successful life.

Overcoming fear doesn’t happen instantly or automatically. It is the result of deliberate intention, and conscious action towards doing things that scares you. Here are three steps to overcome fear immediately.

Develop Accurate Perception

Most of our experiences in life are determined by our perception. Our perception of a situation determines our thoughts and that in turn creates how we feel about a situation. Thoughts and feelings work hand in hand. Each one influences the other.

People often mistake feelings and thoughts as being the same but they are separate entities.

The best thing to do when confronted with anything is to view the situation with objectivity and an open mind. Be truthful and authentic with yourself.

When you see things as they are (reality) then you can begin to see and feel things as the could be and then begin the process of reshaping your perception of who you will be. Begin seeing yourself on the other side of that fear.

Believe in Yourself

Overcoming a fear is enveloped in doubt. Doubt is like cancer. It feeds on all the positive, happy ideas & dreams from the cellular level. Nothing kills an intention more quickly than doubt.

An accurate perception about yourself is first. Rewire your brain. You become what you think.

Develop mantras and affirmations that build you up and increase your confidence and faith in yourself. Read uplifting books to help interrupt the negative inner dialogue that goes on in your mind.

Run a mental tape in your mind daily as to what you will become when you take action. Ask, Believe, Receive.

Surrender the Outcome

There are no guarantees . Never have been, never will be.

None of us are able to predict exactly what the future will bring.

Things happen for a reason. Sometimes you will not know the exact reason for years to come. That is why it is important to surrender the outcome of any given situation.

So what does this mean? That means that you give your best to the present moment and trust that it will lead you exactly to where you need to be.

Life has an interesting way of working things out. Your job is to know what it is that you want. Dream it, visualize it, actualize it as if it has already occurred. And then, let it happen.

Shakespeare said that “life is a stage and we each must play a part.” We have the choice whether we want to play our role small or if we want to aim for an Oscar worthy performance. The choice is ours. We get out of life as much as we put into it.

Fear and risk does exist in all aspects of life. You are the captain …overcome your fears by navigating these outlined steps.

FEAR – Forming Energy And Resilience.
